The 6th Privacy Symposium Africa (PSA) is set to take place on the 19th of November 2024, in Harare, focusing on the intersection of policy frameworks, technological advancements, and societal needs for effective privacy protection.
This year’s theme, “Bridging Policy, Technology, and Societal Dynamics for Effective Privacy Protection,” will examine data collection, processing, storage, and usage, particularly in electoral contexts.
Since its inception in 2019, PSA has emerged as a key platform for privacy experts, policymakers, and business leaders to discuss pressing issues in data protection. The symposium aims to tackle unique challenges across various sectors, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing to enhance privacy measures throughout Africa.
As technology and data governance grow increasingly significant, the upcoming event will be instrumental in shaping the future of privacy standards across the continent.
