South Africa Mourns the Passing of Music Legend Winnie Khumalo

The South African music industry is in mourning following the death of legendary singer Winnie Khumalo, who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 51. According to her family, Khumalo died at her home after a brief illness.
A revered figure in the entertainment world, Khumalo was also the mother of popular singer Rethabile Khumalo, celebrated for the hit song “Ntyilo Ntyilo.” Her illustrious career began at the young age of 15, under the mentorship of the late music icon Brenda Fassie. She went on to release numerous successful albums, including “Just Wanna Live My Life” and “Iphakade Lami.”
Khumalo’s discography boasts a string of hit songs such as “Ngihamba Nabahambayo,” “Izifo,” “Just Wanna Live My Life,” and “Loluthando.” Over the years, she collaborated with prominent artists and groups, including Bongo Maffin, DJ Cleo, and her mentor Brenda Fassie.
