Speaking during the launch of National Culture Month commemorations in Bulawayo, President Mnangagwa underscored the importance of culture in preserving Zimbabwe’s values, traditions and identity for future generations.

The President said the country’s diverse cultural landscape should be embraced as a national strength rather than a source of division, stressing that unity in diversity remains key to fostering peaceful coexistence, mutual understanding and sustainable development.

He noted that cultural heritage serves as a bridge connecting communities and generations, while also reinforcing national pride and social harmony.

President Mnangagwa further called on citizens to take pride in Zimbabwe’s cultural identity and play an active role in safeguarding and promoting the country’s traditions, values and heritage.

He urged Zimbabweans to continue championing peace, tolerance and unity, saying a shared commitment to cultural appreciation would help strengthen the nation’s social fabric and contribute to long-term development.

The National Culture Month commemorations are aimed at celebrating Zimbabwe’s diverse cultural expressions while promoting the preservation of indigenous knowledge, customs and traditions as part of the country’s broader nation-building agenda.
