Written by on October 10, 2026

Victoria Falls Safari Collection has strengthened its position as a leading African luxury tourism destination following the official launch of Albida – Victoria Falls, a premium accommodation offering under the prestigious Victoria Falls Safari Collection.

The launch, held on Thursday, 8 October 2026, at the Victoria Falls Safari Collection Estate, marks a significant milestone in the continued development of Victoria Falls’ high-end hospitality sector.

Designed to cater for discerning luxury travellers, Albida comprises 13 exclusive villas, including three two-bedroom villas. The accommodation features spacious, double-volume thatched living areas, private outdoor patios and individual plunge pools, offering guests an intimate wilderness experience overlooking Zambezi National Park.

The development introduces a more upmarket accommodation option within the estate, complementing the existing Lokuthula Lodges, which continue to serve the entry-level segment of the property’s accommodation portfolio.

Speaking at the launch Director Ross Kennedy said the all-inclusive concept was designed to provide guests with a seamless, personalised luxury experience, combining accommodation with a range of curated activities and excursions.

The packages include guided tours of Victoria Falls, Chobe safaris, helicopter flights, spa treatments and nature walks, allowing visitors to experience the destination’s natural attractions through a coordinated hospitality offering.

Beyond accommodation, the launch comes amid wider developments at the Victoria Falls Safari Collection Estate aimed at strengthening its capacity to host business events and conferences.

Sales and Marketing Director Anald Musonza announced the completion of the estate’s meetings and conferencing facilities, including the Indaba Conference Room, Queen Nandi and Elangeni facilities.

The estate has also commissioned a one-megawatt solar power project, a major investment intended to support energy self-sufficiency while advancing its sustainability objectives under the Green Steps initiative.

Albida has additionally been introduced to tourism trade representatives and media in Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg as the company seeks to strengthen its presence in the regional luxury travel market.

The launch comes at a time when Victoria Falls continues to attract investment in premium accommodation, tourism experiences and supporting infrastructure, reinforcing its position as one of Zimbabwe’s most prominent international tourism destinations.

For the local tourism industry, developments of this nature present opportunities to strengthen destination marketing, stimulate business activity and deepen the city’s appeal to high-value travellers.

As Victoria Falls continues to expand its hospitality offering, the introduction of Albida adds another dimension to the destination’s luxury tourism portfolio, combining private villa accommodation, curated experiences and an emphasis on sustainability.

Albida’s launch represents another chapter in Victoria Falls’ evolving tourism story, as investment continues to shape the destination’s appeal to travellers seeking premium African wilderness experiences.
