Written by on May 24, 2026

Zimbabwe Cricket is set for a major international assignment after confirming that Bangladesh will tour the country in June and July 2026 for an exciting multi-format series featuring one Test match, three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

The much-anticipated tour will mark Zimbabwe’s first home international engagement of 2026, presenting the Chevrons with a crucial opportunity to test their progress across all formats as they continue their rebuilding journey on the global stage.

The tour gets underway with a five-day Test match at the iconic Harare Sports Club from June 28 to July 2, where Zimbabwe will seek to assert dominance on home soil in the longest format of the game.

Attention will then turn to the limited-overs contests, with three ODIs scheduled for Harare on July 6, 9 and 11, offering both sides a vital platform to sharpen their competitive edge.

The series will conclude in Bulawayo, where the action shifts to Queens Sports Club for three T20 Internationals on July 15, 17 and 19, promising an explosive finish to the tour.

Zimbabwe and Bangladesh share a growing rivalry, having last faced each other in a hard-fought Test series in Bangladesh in 2025, which ended in a 1–1 draw. Zimbabwe delivered one of the standout moments of the contest with a memorable three-wicket victory, underlining the team’s growing competitiveness against established opposition.

The upcoming series is expected to provide an important measure of Zimbabwe’s development, while also giving supporters a chance to rally behind the national side in what promises to be a compelling battle between two evenly matched teams seeking momentum on the international stage.
