ZRP Investigates Assault and Shooting Incidents Involving Chinese Nationals

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed incidents involving assault and firearm use, as seen in a viral video from Bijour Farm on January 21, 2025. A 38-year-old man, Kholwani Dube, allegedly stabbed a Chinese national in the leg with an Okapi knife over labor disputes. The Chinese national reportedly responded by pointing a firearm at Dube. Both individuals are facing criminal charges.

In a separate incident, a 20-year-old man from Filabusi was shot by a Chinese national using a 9mm Derya pistol on January 22, 2025, for allegedly stealing gold dump at Binyup 5 Mine. The shooter has been arrested.

The ZRP stated that investigations are ongoing, with further details to be provided.
