ZNNP+ Launches New HIV Care Model to Ease Access and Reduce Stigma

The Zimbabwe National Network of People Living with HIV (ZNNP+) has launched a Differentiated Service Delivery (DSD) model to improve access to HIV care by minimizing congestion at healthcare facilities and addressing stigma.
ZNNP+ representative Addis Hlomani explained that the model alleviates stress for people living with HIV by reducing waiting times and introducing innovative approaches to medication collection. One such feature allows family members on Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) to designate a single person to collect medication for the entire family, reducing the need for multiple visits.
For individuals with consistent adherence to their medication regimen, the model introduces documentation enabling them to collect their medication at nearby pharmacies, bypassing queues at clinics.
ZNNP+ highlighted that work commitments often prevent timely medication collection, underscoring the need for flexible, convenient solutions.
This initiative seeks to promote accessible, stigma-free HIV care for all.
