ZMC calls for truthful, responsible Journalism

The Zimbabwe Media Commission (ZMC) has urged media houses and journalists to adhere to ethical standards and prioritize truthful reporting.
In a statement, the commission expressed concern over the rise of slanderous and disrespectful content that can mislead the public and erode trust in the media.
While emphasizing the importance of media freedom, the ZMC called on journalists to report accurately and responsibly highlighting that irresponsible reporting can undermine public trust and hinder national progress.
The ZMC further urged all media practitioners to commit to ethical journalism and avoid sensationalism and false narratives.
