ZINARA to deregister non-compliant vehicles
Written by Staff Reporter on December 2, 2024
The Zimbabwe National Road Authority (ZINARA) has issued a warning to motorists who have neglected to license or exempt their vehicles for over two years. These vehicles are now at risk of deregistration, as per a recent government notice.
The move, which is in line with Section 12c of the Vehicle Registration and Licensing Act, Chapter 13:14, aims to streamline the vehicle registration system and ensure compliance with licensing and exemption regulations.
Motorists who have not fulfilled their licensing obligations are urged to take immediate action to avoid the consequences of deregistration. This includes paying outstanding arrears and completing necessary licensing procedures at the Central Vehicle Registry or ZINARA licensing offices nationwide.
The deadline for regularization has been set for 22 December 2024. After this date, non-compliant vehicles will be subject to deregistration.

That deregistration program is not a good idea .reason it will open a good advantage to th police to be corrupt thy will make a lot of money to those cars bcz those cars will not stop moving bcz of deregistration.my suggestion to zinara if it’s possible force th owners to pay their bills for zinaras sake than to let police making money whilst zinara is getting loss
