ZIMRA Urges Travelers to Adopt e-TIP for Foreign-Registered Vehicles

Written by on November 27, 2024

The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) is urging travelers to embrace the e-TIP application for obtaining Temporary Import Permits (TIPs) for foreign-registered vehicles.

This digital platform, available on the ZIMRA website and Google Play Store, enables travelers to apply for import permits in advance, streamlining border processes and reducing congestion. First-time users can easily register, complete the required details, and submit applications online. Upon approval, a reference number is generated for presentation to ZIMRA officials at the border.

The app’s flexibility allows users to amend applications or reactivate expired permits using the “Activate My e-TIP Application” feature.

ZIMRA highlights the app’s efficiency, offering travelers shorter wait times, seamless processing, and the convenience of remote access. The initiative aligns with efforts to modernize border operations and enhance service delivery.
