ZIMBABWEAN SPRINTERS QUALIFY FOR ATHLETICS MEN’S 200M FINAL AT PARIS 2024 OLYMPICS

In an exciting turn of events, Zimbabwean athletes Makanakaishe Charamba and Tapiwanashe Makarawu have secured their spots in the Athletics Men’s 200m Final at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Charamba secured his spot with a third-place finish in Semi-Final 2, clocking in at 20:31 seconds, while Makarawu delivered a stunning performance in Semi-Final 3 with a time of 20:16 seconds.
Both Charamba and Makarawu will compete in the Athletics Men’s 200m Final tomorrow.
Supporters are eagerly anticipating the event, hoping to see the Zimbabwean duo bring home medals.
“UTapiwa loMakanaka benza kahle kakhulu ngokuphakamisa iflag yelizwe ikakhulu ukuzwa ama-commentators esigaba sama Olympics bekhuluma ngelizwe elithi Zimbabwe” said Mr Moyo in an interview with Breeze FM.
Mr Moyo further stated, “Yinto enhle kakhulu, siyaziqhenya ngoba sesikhathele ukube lokhe sibukele abamhlophe kuyibo abenza kahle. Sokutshengisela obala ukuthi laselizweni lethu kukhona abalethalenta. Sibafisela okuhle kakhulu ngokungena kumafinals.”
The Paris 2024 Olympics have already seen remarkable achievements from African athletes, and Charamba and Makarawu’s success is a testament to the talent and determination of Zimbabwean sprinters.
