ZIMBABWEAN SPRINTERS GEAR UP FOR 200M SEMI-FINALS AT PARIS 2024 OLYMPICS

Today, Zimbabwean athletes Makanakaishe Charamba and Tapiwa Makarawu will compete in the highly anticipated semi-finals of the 200m race at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Charamba will start from lane 4 in heat 2 facing stiff competition from top international sprinters, including Erik Erlandsson of Sweden, Aaron Brown of Canada, and 100 meters gold medalist Noah Lyles of the USA.

Makarawu will follow shortly, starting from lane 7 in heat 3, facing a talented field of athletes, featuring Follow Udodi Chudi Onwuzurike of Nigeria, Brendon Rodney of Canada, and Wayde van Niekerk of South Africa, among others.

The 200m semi-finals promise to be an electrifying event, with the world’s top sprinters vying for a spot in the finals.
