The country’s participation, spearheaded by the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Barbara Rwodzi, aims to position Zimbabwe as a top destination in the Spanish-speaking and European markets.

The Zimbabwean delegation includes various tourism stakeholders working to enhance the country’s visibility on the global stage. At the event, Zimbabwe seeks to engage with other United Nations member states in the Tourism Policy Dialogue to influence global tourism strategies and policies.

Coinciding with the event, Zimbabwe joined the global tourism community in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). Established in 1974, the UNWTO has played a pivotal role in promoting international cooperation and addressing the challenges and opportunities of tourism.
