Zimbabwe is hosting a four-day SADC Cluster Ministerial Meeting on Transport, ICT, Information, and Meteorology at the Rainbow Towers Hotel in Harare. The meeting follows Zimbabwe’s assumption of the SADC Chairmanship for the 2024/2025 term.

Led by Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Felix Mhona, the gathering brings together regional ministers to assess progress in policy implementation, regional integration, and sectoral programs.

Discussions will focus on infrastructure development, broadband expansion, disaster management, and meteorological strategies that align with global standards. Other key topics include trade facilitation, cybersecurity, and climate resilience, all aimed at enhancing socio-economic growth across the region.

The SADC Cluster on Transport, ICT, Information, and Meteorology plays a crucial role in improving regional connectivity and collaboration. It seeks to advance policy frameworks that promote the smooth movement of goods, services, and people while enhancing ICT development, information sharing, and meteorological services.
