ZDF Boosts Female Officer Intake, Embraces Modern Warfare Training

The Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) has been commended for its progressive efforts in increasing the enrollment of female officer cadets in its strategic military institutions.
This move is seen as a positive step towards leveraging the skills and potential of women in contributing to national defense, peace, and security.
Speaking at the recently held regular officer cadet course parade, His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa highlighted that this increased female representation taps into a previously underutilized resource, strengthening the ZDF’s overall capabilities.
President Mnangagwa further highlighted the growing importance of technology in modern warfare, challenging ZDF academy to proactively expose officer cadets to emerging fields such as artificial intelligence. This forward-thinking approach aims to equip future leaders with the necessary skills to navigate the evolving landscape of defense and security.
