The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) has achieved significant progress in its efforts to combat corruption, successfully completing 470 cases in the past year.
ZACC Chairperson Mr. Michael Reza shared in a recent media briefing that the commission processed and forwarded 343 cases to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) for further legal action.
Among its high-profile investigations, ZACC uncovered widespread abuse of the vehicle rebate scheme by car dealers and civil servants and also arrested business partners Moses Mpofu and Mike Chimombe for an alleged misappropriating of US$7 million in state funds intended for a goat project, which was linked to a non-existent company.
