’Young People Deserve a Seat at the Table’ President Mnangagwa

In a decisive call to action at the Youth Empowerment Forum and belated Africa Youth Day celebrations in Mutare, President Emmerson Mnangagwa underscored the indispensable role of young people in Zimbabwe’s governance and economic landscape.
Addressing an audience of youth leaders, HE announced concrete plans to open up leadership roles specifically for young people, reinforcing his administration’s pledge to bring fresh perspectives into the nation’s decision making framework.
The President further urged young Zimbabweans to reject corruption outright, calling for a return to values rooted in hard work and unwavering integrity qualities, he noted, that Zimbabwe’s next generation of leaders must embody.
He challenged the youth to harness the power of entrepreneurship and international collaboration, encouraging them to establish cross-border networks that could drive not only Zimbabwe’s economic growth but also contribute to a thriving, interconnected African economy.
Meanwhile, the Youth Empowerment Forum an initiative led by the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development, and Vocational Training continues to push forward with its mission to decentralize skill-building.
The program boasts 45 training centers and 25 satellite centers across the nation, providing vocational training and practical skills development to Zimbabwe’s aspiring workforce.
