Warriors coach blames packed schedule for recent loss
Written by Staff Reporter on November 20, 2024
Warriors head coach Michael Nees has acknowledged the demanding football calendar as the factor which impacted his player’s performance in yesterday’s 2-1 loss to Cameroon.
Nees expressed concern that the team’s demanding schedule, including a match against Kenya on Friday and 35 hour travel time left players physically and mentally drained affecting his side’s perfomances in yesterday’s loss.
Despite the setback, Nees remains optimistic having successfully guided the Warriors to qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Warriors’ have enjoyed a smooth start to life under Nees having recorded 2 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss since his appointment in August.
