Victoria Falls Man Arrested for Possessing Dagga

A Victoria Falls man, Gift Thabani Lunga, has appeared in court following his arrest for illegal possession of dagga.

According to the State, on April 22, police received a tip-off that Lunga was keeping dagga at his Chinotimba home. Upon arrival, officers were met by Lunga’s girlfriend, Sinikiwe Mangisai, who allowed a search that led to the discovery of a blue bag containing 83 sachets of loose dagga weighing 450 grammes. Mangisai allegedly identified Lunga as the owner.

A manhunt was launched, culminating in Lunga’s arrest on April 30 at a shebeen in the same suburb.
