Victoria Falls Full Council Meeting Tackles Key Community Concerns

A full council meeting was held today at the Victoria Falls City Council, where several key issues affecting the local community were discussed. The meeting saw the attendance of His Worship Mayor Prince Thuso Moyo, Deputy Mayor, Town Clerk, Councilors, representatives from the Zimbabwe Republic Police, and several concerned residents from the community.
One of the central topics raised during the meeting was the state of the local cemetery. One of the councilors raised concerns regarding the poor maintenance of the site, highlighting issues such as overgrown grass, neglected graves, and the overall cleanliness of the area. He emphasized the need for urgent action, with some calling for increased resources to ensure the cemetery is properly maintained.
Another significant concern raised during the session was the state of Chinotimba Stadium, which has long been a hub for local sporting activities. Councilors, along with residents, expressed their desire for renovations to improve the facility. The stadium, which has been in need of upgrades for some time, was described as a crucial asset for the community’s recreational and sporting events.
The introduction of new solar lights in various parts of the city was also discussed. Council members received positive feedback from residents about the solar-powered lighting project, which aims to provide sustainable and reliable illumination in key areas of Victoria Falls.
This full council meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration between local government, residents, and law enforcement, all working together for the betterment of Victoria Falls. The council has pledged to continue its efforts in creating a cleaner, safer, and more vibrant city for all its residents.
