U.S. Embassy Marks 250 Years of Freedom in Victoria Falls

The United States Embassy yesterday commemorated 250 years of freedom, independence and democracy during a colourful celebration in Victoria Falls. The event brought together invited guests from different sectors to reflect on the long-standing relationship between the United States and Zimbabwe while celebrating the shared values of freedom, dialogue, innovation and opportunity.
Speaking during the commemorations, United States Ambassador Pamela Tremont expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the people of Zimbabwe for their warm hospitality, friendship and continued engagement with the United States. She said the anniversary was not only a celebration of America’s 250-year journey but also a reminder of the strong and growing partnership between the two nations, built on mutual respect and cooperation.
Ambassador Tremont said the U.S. Embassy remains committed to promoting dialogue, innovation and opportunities that improve the lives of people in both countries. She highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships in education, entrepreneurship, cultural exchange and economic development, adding that collaboration continues to create lasting benefits for Zimbabweans and Americans alike.
