ZEC Confirms Peaceful Environment Ahead Of Saturday By-Elections

The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) says all preparations have been completed for Saturday’s local authority by-elections in four wards across Victoria Falls and Mutare.
Speaking during a media briefing in Victoria Falls, ZEC Commissioner Abigail Ambrose said the Commission has deployed all election materials and personnel, with a budget of ZiG 17 million allocated for the polls.
She also said the pre-election period has remained peaceful, with no reported electoral incidents, and urged political parties, candidates and supporters to maintain peace throughout the voting process.
ZEC says 14,073 registered voters will cast their ballots at 23 polling stations, which will open from 7am to 7pm on Saturday.
