AI Innovation Key To Zimbabwe’s Sustainable Economic Growth

US Ambassador Pamela Tremont has urged Zimbabwe to harness artificial intelligence, strengthen global partnerships and maintain economic reforms to unlock sustainable growth and attract more investment.

Speaking at the American Chamber of Commerce in Zimbabwe’s AI and Cyber Conference, Ambassador Tremont said AI is transforming sectors including mining, agriculture, healthcare and finance, creating opportunities for Zimbabwe to accelerate economic development.

She said long-term prosperity depends on trade, innovation, sound governance and investor confidence, stressing that businesses invest where there is policy consistency, transparency, respect for the rule of law and protection of property rights.

Ambassador Tremont also highlighted cybersecurity as essential for a modern digital economy and reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to supporting Zimbabwe through expanded trade, entrepreneurship and investment partnerships.
