The 4th Annual Public Procurement Conference Ends on a High Note.

The 4th annual public procurement conference, hosted by the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ), has came to an end with a series of impactful resolutions and closing remarks delivered by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. C. Ruswa. The event, held at Elephant Hills Resort, Victoria Falls, brought together over 500 delegates from across Africa to discuss and enhance procurement practices.

The key resolutions were adoption of Electronic Procurement Systems this move aims to enhance transparency, reduce corruption, and improve efficiency in public procurement processes. Capacity Building and Training that is Strengthening Public-Private Partnerships. The conference emphasized the importance of fostering strong public-private partnerships to drive economic growth and innovation in procurement practices. In addition Sustainable Procurement Practices was emphasized Delegates agreed on the need to integrate sustainable procurement practices that prioritize environmental conservation and social responsibility. This includes adopting green procurement policies and encouraging suppliers to adhere to sustainable practices.

In his closing remarks, Chief Executive Officer PRAZ Mr. C. Ruswa expressed his gratitude to all participants for their active engagement and contributions throughout the conference. He highlighted the significance of the resolutions passed and the collective commitment to improving procurement practices in Zimbabwe and beyond.

“Your dedication and insightful discussions have paved the way for a brighter future in public procurement. The resolutions we have adopted today are a testament to our shared vision of transparency, efficiency, and sustainability,” said Mr. C. Ruswa.

Mr. C. Ruswa extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to all the delegates, speakers, and organizers who made the conference a success. He specifically thanked the Vice President, Dr. Constantino Chiwenga, for his presence and support, as well as the international delegates who traveled to share their expertise and experiences.

“Your participation has been invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for your contributions. Together, we have set a strong foundation for the future of public procurement in Zimbabwe and across Africa,” Mr. C. Ruswa concluded.

The conference ended on a high note, with delegates leaving with renewed energy and a clear roadmap for implementing the resolutions discussed. The commitment to transparency, efficiency, and sustainability remains at the core of PRAZ’s mission, promising a transformative impact on public procurement practices.
