South African DJ Crowned World’s Best DJ

South African DJ Black Coffee, popularly known as Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, has been named the World’s Best DJ by Nightlife International at the 9th Golden Moon Awards.

In a social media post, the Golden Moon Awards described Black Coffee as a deserving icon, praising him as a visionary artist who connects with global audiences through his music and pushes creative boundaries.

Black Coffee, a Grammy Award-winning DJ, record producer, and songwriter, is celebrated for his unique blend of deep house and Afro house music.

The 9th Golden Moon Awards, initially scheduled for November 20 in Spain, were canceled due to bad weather. Winners were instead announced on Nightlife International Association’s social media platforms.

Nightlife International is a nonprofit organization supporting nightlife sector entities, including bars, restaurants, clubs, lounges, and hotels.
