Six Dead, Seven Injured in Bulawayo-Plumtree Crash

A tragic road accident claimed the lives of six people and injured seven others yesterday morning on the Bulawayo-Plumtree highway.
The accident occurred around 8am, about 81 kilometers from Bulawayo, as a vehicle carrying churchgoers to Plumtree overturned after a tire burst.
The deceased identified by their next of kin, include Chamunorwa Jejeje (32), a well-known tshova mubaiwa driver from Nketa-Mganwini, Nokulunga Ncube (43) from Nketa, Silathiselu Zikhali Ncube (60) from Nkulumane, Mary Jangwe (62) from Emganwini, Lesley Mbewe (58) from Nketa, and Privilege Simango (23) from Rangemore.
Their bodies were taken to Plumtree Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations. The injured are receiving treatment at the same hospital.
Police are urging drivers to adhere to speed limits, follow traffic rules, and ensure their vehicles are roadworthy to prevent such tragedies.
