Saudi Arabia to host 2034 FIFA World Cup

The International Federation Association Football President, Gianni Infantino has confirmed Saudi Arabia as the host nation for the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
The decision was made official on Wednesday following an online meeting of the 211 members of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
This development marks a significant milestone for Saudi Arabia, which is also slated to host the 2027 Asian Cup, the 2029 Asian Winter Games, and the 2034 Asian Games.
The 2034 FIFA World Cup will be a groundbreaking tournament, as it will be the first ever 48 team edition of the FIFA World Cup to be played in a single host P country. This expanded format is expected to bring new excitement and opportunities for teams from around the world to compete on the biggest stage in international football.
In addition to Saudi Arabia’s hosting duties, the 2030 FIFA World Cup will be co hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. This will be a unique opportunity for fans to experience the tournament in multiple countries and cultures.
Furthermore, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Argentina will each host an opening match to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the inaugural FIFA World Cup, which was held in Uruguay in 1930.
