SADC Chairman to Visit Botswana to Recognize Regional Efforts

President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, the Chairman of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), is set to visit Botswana to engage with the SADC Secretariat.

This visit follows the recent Extraordinary Summit held in Harare, although the exact date of the trip is yet to be confirmed.

During the Ministerial Committee meeting of the Troika, SADC Executive Secretary Elias Magosi underscored the significance of the chairman’s visit.

Magosi stated that the visit would not only serve as an acknowledgment of SADC’s achievements but also offer a platform for collaboration with the chairman to further the regional development agenda.

In the meantime, Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development, Professor Amon Murwira, expressed optimism regarding the successful hosting of the Summit.

The Extraordinary Summit continues in Harare, with SADC heads of state expected to convene for the final session tomorrow.
