The Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Honourable Barbara Rwodzi, has launched the Domestic Festive Season campaign aimed at promoting local tourism.
Speaking at the campaign launch in Mazowe held recently, Rwodzi emphasized the need for the nation to focus more on domestic tourism to boost the economy and create employment opportunities.
The campaign was launched just ahead of the festive season, a period when people tend to spend and travel the most. Minister Rwodzi highlighted that many of the country’s top tourist destinations will offer affordable packages for those looking to explore locally.
The Ministry of Tourism is encouraging locals to use their annual bonuses to invest in domestic vacations, rather than traveling abroad, as part of efforts to strengthen the local tourism sector this festive season.
