Rotary Club Donates Borehole, Solar System, and Equipment to Chinotimba Primary School

Chinotimba Primary School in Victoria Falls received a significant boost in water and agricultural resources following the handover of a borehole, solar system, and essential agricultural equipment by the Rotary Club of Victoria Falls, District 9210. The club represented the Rotary Clubs of Port Orange-South Daytona and Daytona Beach West, Florida, District 6970, in this transformative initiative.
The handover ceremony, held at the school, was graced by Deputy Mayor Lungile Nyoni, who served as the Guest of Honour. Also in attendance were the Rotary Club President, schoolteachers, students, and community members.
The borehole and solar-powered system will provide a sustainable water source for the school, enhancing both learning and agricultural projects. The donation also includes equipment aimed at supporting the Department of Agriculture’s efforts in promoting self-sufficiency and hands-on agricultural education among students.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Mayor Nyoni commended the Rotary Club and its partners for their commitment to community development, emphasizing the lasting impact of clean water and agricultural empowerment on education and livelihoods.
The initiative underscores the power of international collaboration in addressing local challenges, ensuring that students and the wider community benefit from improved water access and sustainable farming practices.
