Hwange Man Fined USD 300 for Assaulting Neighbor Over Drunken Dispute

Peter Ndlovu, a 41-year-old Hwange man, has been fined US$300 for assaulting his neighbor, Joakam Manjolo, following a drunken dispute.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority, the two were walking home in the early hours of March 3, 2025, after a night of drinking when an argument erupted. The disagreement quickly turned violent, leading Ndlovu to grab Manjolo by the head, repeatedly punch him in the face, and kick him in the back with his booted feet.
Manjolo sustained serious injuries and required medical attention. Ndlovu was later arrested, charged, and found guilty of assault by the Hwange Magistrates’ Court, which imposed a US$300 fine as punishment.
