RBZ Partners with Homelink to Boost ZiG Cash Availability

Zimbabwe’s central bank, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, is taking steps to ensure sufficient local currency, the ZiG, remains in circulation to support normal business transactions and economic activity.
The RBZ has announced a new arrangement with Homelink to widen public access to ZiG cash, leveraging Homelink’s existing branch network across the country.
Starting Monday, June 10th, the RBZ is appealing to all individuals, transport operators, retailers, informal traders, and other stakeholders to visit their nearest Homelink branch.
There, you can use your local currency debit or credit cards to withdraw small denominations of ZiG1, ZiG2, ZiG5, and ZiG10.
Homelink branches will also allow the exchange of foreign currency cash for the local ZiG at the prevailing interbank rate.
The RBZ says this is part of wider initiatives to ensure adequate ZiG cash availability in the economy. The list of Homelink branch locations is available for public reference.
