President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa is set to officiate at the inaugural National Competitiveness Summit on Thursday, 20 February, at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF).
Speaking during an interview, Manager International Competitiveness, Mr. Douglas Muzimba, revealed that the President will be the guest of honour, emphasizing the summit’s significance in shaping Zimbabwe’s economic landscape.
He further stated that Zimbabwe has not been ranked internationally by the International Competitiveness Commission regarding economic progress. However, the establishment of the National Competitiveness Commission in Zimbabwe is set to change that.
The two-day summit, which begins on 19 February, aims to foster dialogue on competitiveness gaps and policy interventions. It runs under the theme “Enhancing Zimbabwe’s Competitiveness.”
