President Mnangagwa calls for global Unity and Cooperation at Korea-Africa summit

President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa addressed the Korea-Africa Summit at the Korea International Exhibition Centre (KINTEX), emphasizing Zimbabwe’s commitment to global cooperation and development.
The President reiterated Zimbabwe’s stance as a friend to all and an enemy to none, despite facing unwarranted sanctions from Western countries for 23 years.
President Mnangagwa highlighted the contradictions between these sanctions and the summit’s theme, The future we make together: Shared Growth, Sustainability, and Solidarity.
He emphasized Zimbabwe’s determination to modernize and develop its economy, leveraging its natural resources, strategic location, and human capital.
The President applauded the Republic of Korea’s commitment to advancing Africa’s development agenda and encouraged bold action to support African businesses and entrepreneurs in global value chains. He said cooperation would foster economic diversification, create quality jobs, and benefit women and youth.
President Mnangagwa extended an invitation to Korean investors to partner with Zimbabwe in agriculture, value addition of strategic minerals, agro-based manufacturing, tourism, and infrastructure development. His speech emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation in building a prosperous future for all nations.
