The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Honorable Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndlovu, recently visited SAZ standards Laboratories to inspect the facilities and operations that enable industries to meet the highest quality and safety standards.

During the tour, Minister Ndlovu highlighted the crucial role of standards in promoting quality and competitiveness in local industries.

The Minister stressed the need for a fully functional standards institute in the country, capable of conducting regular random checkups to ensure compliance with international standards. This, he believes, will enhance the reputation of Zimbabwean products and boost consumer confidence.

SAZstandards Laboratories, responsible for testing and certifying products, plays a vital role in enforcing quality control measures.

The Minister’s visit demonstrates the government’s commitment to supporting industries in meeting international standards, thereby promoting economic growth and development.
