In a post on X, the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) highlighted that the event will bring together community members, individuals with disabilities, professional chefs, and tertiary students to showcase traditional cooking methods and flavors unique to the region.
The competition, which starts at 8:00 AM, has already been held in Harare, Masvingo, and Mashonaland Central, with winners advancing to the national finals on May 25, 2025.
According to ZTA, the initiative, spearheaded by First Lady Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, seeks to promote gastronomy tourism and honor Zimbabwe’s cultural traditions.
