Hwange Thieves Sentenced to 14 Months for Stealing Electronics

Two men from Hwange, Godwishes Mpofu and Gift Rabvu have been sentenced to 14 months in prison by the Hwange Magistrate Court for stealing electronic gadgets from a parked vehicle.
The theft occurred on the 21st of September, with the stolen items including an Acer laptop, an Oppo power bank, a TP-Link modem, an external hard drive, a POS machine, a surge protector, a laptop power pack, A5 diaries, and a Nokia C105 Itel Vision cell phone, collectively valued at ZWG 29,139.
Police were alerted to the crime on the 25th of September after discovering Mpofu attempting to sell the stolen items, which led to Rabvu’s involvement. Fortunately, law enforcement recovered ZWG 27,864 worth of the stolen goods.
