Yesterday in the afternoon His Excellency President Filipe Nyusi of the Republic of Mozambique touched down at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, marking the beginning of his participation in the Extraordinary Summit of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Heads of State and Government.
The summit, brought together regional leaders to discuss pressing issues affecting the Southern African region. President Nyusi, arriving aboard a special aircraft, was greeted by senior government officials and diplomats stationed in Zimbabwe. His arrival was a significant moment as leaders from across the region converged to address crucial matters to the stability, development, and integration of Southern Africa.
President Nyusi was welcomed with traditional honors, including a guard of honor, as Zimbabwe prepared to host the pivotal summit. The event fostered a deeper collaboration between SADC member states, with a focus on enhancing regional security, economic cooperation, and socio-political stability.
