Highlanders FC settle for a draw against Ngezi Platinum

Highlanders FC were held to a 1 all draw by Ngezi Platinum Stars at Barbourfields Stadium yesterday.

Amahlolanyama took the lead in the first half of thr game, courtesy of a well-placed shot by Brighton Ncube in the 38th minute, which was expertly struck from the edge of the box.

Ngezi Platinum’s Claude Mapoka, who substituted in for Tinotenda Murasiranwa in the 46th minute, dampened Bosso’s spirits by scoring a goal for Ngezi Platinum in the 51st minute.

In the 66th minute, Marvin Sibanda earned a penalty for Bosso, but Melikhaya’s spot kick was saved by Ngezi Platinum Stars’ goalkeeper, Nelson Chadya, denying Amahlolanyama a crucial three points and forcing them to settle for a single point.

Bosso remains in fourth place on the table with 37 points, just one point behind Ngezi Platinum Stars, who occupy third spot with 38 points. Meanwhile, FC Platinum has reclaimed top spot in the Premier League after their 3-0 win over Arenel Movers, coupled with Simba Bhora’s 1-1 draw with Dynamos on Saturday.
