Govt Calls on Developed Nations to Fund Africa’s Climate Change Mitigation Efforts

The government, through the Ministry of Health and Childcare, represented by Minister Dr. Douglas Mombeshora, has called on developed nations to support Africa’s efforts to address the health impacts of climate change.
Speaking at the Climate and Health Africa Conference (CHAC 2024) in Harare today, Dr. Mombeshora highlighted Africa’s vulnerability to climate-sensitive health issues and stressed the need for international collaboration to build resilience in the continent’s health systems.
The conference which started yesterday will be concluded tomorrow. It gathers leaders, researchers, and health experts to confront the urgent challenges at the intersection of climate and health, seeking innovative solutions to safeguard Africa’s future.
