The initiative, spearheaded by Honourable Felix Mhona, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, involves collaboration with the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe and the Ministry of Home Affairs to deploy breathalysers and cameras at roadblocks.

The measure aims to tackle road accidents caused by driving under the influence of alcohol while enhancing public road safety, particularly during the festive season.

This move aligns with the government’s commitment to safeguarding citizens and ensuring a festive period marked by reduced crime and safer roads.
