Government Reaffirms Commitment to Public Security Amid Social Media Mobilization

The Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Hon. Kazembe Kazembe, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to bolstering security measures to safeguard public safety and maintain national stability.

In an official statement, Minister Kazembe cautioned against a march currently being organized through the social media platform X, highlighting its potential risk to public order. He urged those orchestrating the movement to reconsider their actions, emphasizing that any activities posing a threat to national peace and sovereignty would be met with appropriate governmental intervention.

Reiterating the state’s responsibility to ensure the security of all citizens, the Minister underscored the necessity of preemptive measures to deter any disruptions to public order. He further encouraged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any individuals or activities associated with the planned march, which is allegedly scheduled for Monday, 31 March 2025.

The government remains resolute in its duty to uphold law and order, with security agencies on high alert to prevent any disturbances that may compromise national stability.
