Global and Local Business Leaders Gather to Revitalise Zimbabwe’s Industrialisation

Business leaders from around the globe have convened at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) for an international business conference focused on driving the country’s economic resurgence.

Running under the theme “Revitalising Industrialisation for Zimbabwe’s Economic Resurgence,” the event is being headlined by the Vice President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Honourable Dr. Gen (Rtd) C.G.D.N. Chiwenga, who is the guest of honour. Also in attendance are cabinet ministers and the Speaker of Parliament, Honourable Jacob Mudenda.

In her opening remarks, the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution in Bulawayo Metropolitan Province, Honourable Judith Ncube, called for collective action from all stakeholders to help build economic resilience.

Dr. Gaku Funabashi, an associate professor at an international university in Japan, urged Zimbabwe to forge its own path toward industrialisation, supported by strong government backing.

The conference offers a platform for stakeholders to explore strategies for reviving the country’s industrial base and accelerating economic growth.
