The Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services commissioned its Pavilion this afternoon at the ongoing Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF). The Pavilion aims to showcase the breadth of Zimbabwe’s media industry and the Ministry’s commitment to inclusive communication.
Speaking at the event, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry, Mr. Nick Mangwana, said the Pavilion brings together the country’s media landscape and will feature live broadcasts from various stations, along with the distribution of satellite boxes to support newly licensed television stations.
The Pavilion also exhibits the Ministry’s community radio and television initiatives, podcast platforms, and Zim Digital decoders, which offer access to a variety of Zimbabwean channels.
In an interview, Transmedia Board Member Zandile Ndlovu, representing the state-owned signal distributor, said the satellite boxes are part of efforts to ensure nationwide access to broadcasting services and promote local content. She noted that the boxes provide users with a broad range of Zimbabwean channels from a single platform.
