Dynamos Football Club has appointed former midfielder Ronald “Gidiza” Sibanda as the new manager, a move announced in a statement by the team yesterday. Sibanda returns to the club after a successful playing stint from 1998 to 1999, replacing Harry Lusengo, son of board chairman Bernard Lusengo. The club highlighted Sibanda’s extensive experience as both a footballer and manager as an asset to the team.
Additionally, the club welcomed Mark Mathe as assistant head coach. Mathe brings a wealth of experience, having previously worked with clubs including Chicken Inn, Highlanders, Caps United, Golden Eagles, and Bulawayo Chiefs. He recently left his position with Mozambique’s UD Sango FC.
Sibanda, Mathe, and newly appointed head coach Lloyd “Mablanyo” Chigowe are expected to lead Dynamos in their quest to challenge for every title this season.
