The Zimbabwe Passengers Association has appealed to drivers to prioritize safety and avoid reckless driving, particularly during the upcoming festive season.
Zimbabwe Passengers Association secretary general Paul Makiwa, highlighted the importance of responsible driving, especially while under the influence of alcohol.
Makiwa further highlighted the dangers of speeding and overloading, urging drivers to plan their journeys in advance, designate sober drivers, and exercise caution on the roads.
Meanwhile Makiwa appealed to passengers to report any instances of reckless driving to the authorities and to prioritize their own safety with the association’s ultimate goal being to ensure a “zero-tolerance” approach to drunk driving and other hazardous behaviors on the roads this festive season.
