The Organization for Public Health Interventions and Development (OPHID) joined the global community in commemorating 2024 World AIDS Day.

This year’s theme, “Empowering Health Equity: Upholding Rights and Responsibilities,” aligns with OPHID’s mission to promote health rights and ensure access to quality healthcare.

OPHID Executive Director Dr Tinashe Chinyanga, emphasized the importance of recognizing and upholding the right to health saying that every individual deserves the highest attainable standard of health, and seeking care is a fundamental human right.

OPHID is actively working to achieve this goal through the Target, Accelerate, Sustain Quality (TASQC) Program.

This initiative, funded by PEPFAR through USAID Zimbabwe and implemented in partnership with J. F. Kapnek Zimbabwe and the Zimbabwe National Network of People Living with HIV (ZNNP+), aims to support Zimbabwe’s national HIV program to reach and maintain HIV epidemic control.
