Amavevane Acapella Group Celebrates 28th Anniversary with Concert

Renowned acapella group Amavevane will mark their 28th birthday with a concert at Zoo Lake on August 31.

Formed in 1996 at Ngwana Primary School in Plumtree, the group has been delighting audiences with their Isicathamiya music, also known as Imbube music.

Led by Future Ndebele, Amavevane has achieved significant milestones, including international recognition after performing in England in 1999 with the support of fellow musician Black Mfolosi. Their music explores themes of love, war, gospel, and the black experience.

As they celebrate this milestone, Ndebele said fans can expect an unforgettable performance showcasing their signature harmonies and energetic stage presence.
