The SMEs, Insurance, and Microfinance Winter Expo kicked off yesterday, featuring a diverse range of companies showcasing their innovative services and exclusive offers.
Notably, two trailblazing groups of women entrepreneurs are making a splash in the homemade products sector, specializing in artisanal detergents and demonstrating the potential of small-scale manufacturing.
The Impumelo group, comprising eleven women from Entumbane suburbs, was driven by the desire to improve their lives and provide for their families. By combining their knowledge and skills, they have empowered themselves to manufacture and sell various detergents, including pine jelly, toilet cleaner, bar soaps, and more.
This initiative, made possible by the Bulawayo City Council, is expected to boost their exposure and help them refine their products to meet customer needs. The women’s determination to succeed is a testament to the power of entrepreneurship in transforming lives
The SMEs, Insurance, and Microfinance Winter Expo offers a valuable opportunity for small businesses like Impumelo and entrepreneurs like Ms Masuku to connect with potential customers, partners, and industry experts.
As the expo continues, visitors can expect to discover innovative products and services, network with entrepreneurs, and gain insights into the latest trends and best practices.
