Zimbabwe is projected to experience normal to above-normal rainfall during the 2024/25 summer season, though October is expected to be drier than the long-term average.
The announcement was made during yesterday’s Cabinet briefing by the Minister of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services, Honourable Dr. Jenfan Muswere. He assured the nation that despite the anticipated dry spell in October, normal rainfall patterns are expected from November onward.
Dr. Muswere emphasized the importance of early planning for farmers and agriculturists in preparation for the upcoming farming season. “With the drier-than-average October forecast, stakeholders in the agricultural sector are encouraged to make necessary adjustments to ensure a successful planting season despite the delayed rains,” he stated.
Farmers and other stakeholders are advised to take proactive measures to mitigate the impact of the delayed rains and ensure a productive season ahead.
